A firm believer that businesses can “do well by doing good”, Frank has over 20 years experience creating and leading cause partnership and diversity related initiatives that delivered real bottom-line benefit and social value. His firm, VIANOVA, was the first certified B Corporation in San Diego, a classification reserved for businesses that adhere to rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
A natural leader, Frank has built a career helping others achieve greater success, first at globally-recognized brand, American Express Travel, and later as an entrepreneur and consultant. His clients represent a diverse range of for profit businesses and nonprofits, including American Express, Union Bank, GLAAD, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, San Ysidro Health Center, Mama’s Kitchen, San Diego LGBT Pride, Malashock Dance, Groovy Like a Movie, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego American Marketing Association, M-Squared Consulting, Nan McKay and Associates, and Pasadena Unified School District.
In 2001, Frank received the Community Service Award from San Diego LGBT Pride for his role as project creator and leader of the Shared Heart Youth Center Project to benefit the Hillcrest Youth Center. He is also a recipient of American Express’ 150 Great Citizens Award and the American Express Chairman’s Award for Quality.
Frank is a member of the American Marketing Association and the San Diego Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. He attended Northeastern University and Rhode Island Community College and earned his certificate in Project Management from San Diego State University. Frank is also a LEAD San Diego graduate. Described as a “Master’s Degree” on San Diego, LEAD San Diego trains regional civic leaders through its nine-month curriculum in leadership development.
Coming from a diverse background in medical office management, professional organization administration and nonprofit event support, Barbara joined Vianova in 2011 to provide administrative, business development and event support for events and special projects. Barbara is a strong collaborator and integrates well with team environments and is a born leader.
Recently, Barbara served as part-time Chapter Coordinator with the San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association. She continues her role part-time with SDAMA supporting the chapter’s Executive Board and committees in achieving annual chapter goals and as the primary point of contact for the 200+ member organization. Since 2006, she has provided leadership in organizing educational programming for the marketing community and the annual AMA Cause Conference.
Since 1998, Barbara has served as an Associates for Youth Board Member at the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos and has been involved in a variety of roles with their annual fundraising activities and auctions. Additionally, she has provided management and fundraising support to several nonprofit and community organizations including Escondido Children’s Museum and Scripps Memorial Hospital-Encinitas. Currently, she serves on the PTA board as the Box Tops for Education fundraising coordinator at Reidy Creek Elementary School. Knowing she has too many interests for the number of hours in a day, or a lifetime, Barbara enjoys outdoor activities, whether beach, sky or snow, reading biographies, theater, studying art, and having “adventure days” in the mix of work and family life.
