See Which Employers Made The Grade: Fortune Magazine’s Top 100 Announced

The results are in for the 2011 Forture Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For.  Congratulations to this year’s (repeat) top employer, software giant SAS. They also ranked #1 in a list of companies where employees feel encouraged to balance work and personal life.

I always enjoy checking out the Best Perks list to see how creative these companies are with employee perks. Of course the first one that jumped out is NuStar Energy’s “corporate jet” perk. I want to know more! Another standout is Zappos‘ “life coach” perk. That says a lot about their commitment to employee growth and development. Kudos to them. And to MorningStar for offering their employees “big sabbaticals.”

On the environmental stewardship and flexible workplace fronts, kudo’s goes to Deloitte. They rank #1 on the list of companies with highest percentage of employees who telecommute.

I would be interested to know if this list has any influence on your purchasing decisions? Are you more likely to support one of these companies because they are a great place to work? Please share your thoughts.
